My name is Maria Garcia-Larrieu.
I am a clinical psychologist in private practice in the Miami-Dade County, Florida, area. In my practice I work with individuals of all ages, as well as with couples and families. I am completely bilingual in English and Spanish and am licensed in the states of Florida and New York.
The various services that I offer are described on other pages in this site. However, in every case I focus on individuals and their characteristics, strengths, and needs in order to offer individualized treatment. I do not view those who come to see me as "mentally ill", but as people who have suffered traumas and difficult situations in life and seek assistance in achieving a better and healthier life.
In addition to my private practice, I offer seminars and consultation to schools and businesses. If you are interested in such services, please give me a call.
I am a member of the American Psychological Association, the Dade County Psychological Association, Florida Psychological Association, the EMDR International Association, and the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation.
